Re: Holy crap...bridge collapse

with this being a Federal Interstate, and the GOP's convention coming here next year, my bet is that they have a new bridge up and open by then. If they could rebuild the Cali highways after the last "big one", in the record time, this shouldn't be a problem. Prayers out to those effected ...

Re: Chromie w/ staggered setup...

Nice looking auto-mobile yous got there.

I have always wondered...with that low of a front lip, are you ever worried about smacking it on a speed bump? The HS where my son is going to pee-wee football camp this week has speed bumps that scare me wit a stock SVT set up.

Re: You Think We got Our Moneys Worth?

Don't think it is alignment. Took in my car with the same type of wear. Ford has the front set up pretty high with negative camber. Nothing we can really do about it but rotate the tires often. Well, that is unless you want to set up with adj. camber plates up top. Just keep an eye on everything. Ch...

Re: Wheels 4 Nick...

Steve was right,
it is a Renault "Clio".

Here is everything you never wanted to know about it...except for the wheel fitment, couldn't find that to save my life except it is a 35mm offset

Re: Euro Bumper Question?

what about the tip of the exhaust? Would that have to be "cut back" to make it look not completely ricer-ish?

Just wondering.

Euro Bumper Question?

At Tousley I noticed a couple Foci with Euro bumpers, my question is: Did you guys just put the bumper on the cut down US spec bumper, or did you buy the Euro spec crash foam/bumper stuff to go along with the skin? Just curious, and yes, I should have asked last week in person. Also trying to figure...

Re: how stupid can someone be!

The loaner/rental thing can be an issue for younger owners but it's not always the dealerships choice, If it's an actual rental it could be the rental companies policy or it could be dictated by the dealerships insurance policy. I know it's a hassle but theres not much anyone can do about it. Yup I...

Re: ban happy nils is loved.....

the best thing for a hang over is pedialight. 8) Well, actually, I have found that getting stuck with an IV and a 1/2L of saline is a much better way to recover than ANY form of drink. Puts the liquids right where they are needed. In addition to that, morning after IV's can be a good refresher for ...

Re: Future MNFOCUS.com shows-legal question

The above example is a perfect illustration to the current state of affairs fucking lawyers have put us in. Lets just throw some fucking bullshit litigation against any person or company that has money, they then have to spend countless time/money in defending themselves. In the end, even if they ar...

Re: Stage2 Duratec Throttle bodies-who wants one?

Changing the size of the TB wont affect anything, other than throttle response, and ad few hp. Changing the size of the MAF without a tune will cause a lean condition like you are talking about. The TB is downstream from the maf. Maybe you are getting the two confused? Clean, You got it man, I must...

Re: Stage2 Duratec Throttle bodies-who wants one?

focinite,
from what I have read/heard the Duratec's head is a great design and able to flow quite well. The valve springs have a tendency to "flow" at very high RPM's but that can be fixed with new valve springs. Where are you getting that info from???

Thanks,
Tim

Re: Stage2 Duratec Throttle bodies-who wants one?

Yes, I understand the basic concept of a Mass Air Flow sensor, but by increasing the diameter of the TB, you are going to add more O2 to your engine than the 'puter knows is going in, causing a lean condition. Additionally, the TB is "upstream" from the MAF on the D23, so will it still pro...
