With the fall of another holiday season. The wonders of it all get blown away with work. Eeh, but the joys of having a new baby are what's keeping me going. With a big restructuring coming soon, I have come to you all with a question. Unfortounatly we are getting rid of my wifes foci. It has been $400 a month that we can't afford, so we are trading it it and taking a loss on it. We are going to be picking up used 2k1 Sport Trac. Cheaper payments and better for winter months. I will NOT get rid of my foci... Wether it has to stay in storage or not. On the other hand, here is where my question comes in... I have a bunch of torbo parts lying around still, and I have a truck that is dying for some extra horse hauling power... So instead of selling the turbo parts, that no one wants on any site of craigslist or anything, I would like to install it in my F150. Yes it is an old truck and it is an automatic, but the motor is strong, and I need a little extra pull. SO any helpful information or how tos or anything!!! Please let me know... Cause after the snow stops... Its going under the knife... Heh. Thanks, Rob

Single exhaust? Should be easy enough to boost if it is, just mount the turbo downstream of the y-pipe and then fab the rest of the plumbing.
Boost the hell out of it, It's just a 5.0 and they're super common.

Yea I was gonna put new headers on it and put it in the Y pipe under the truck, than fab a stuff skid plate for it. I'm just worried about electronics and crap. I know I gotta pick up a tach, and I have a boost guage already, have a turbo timer, thatll help... It is an automatic and I always hear about turboing automatics is bad and bla bla bla... So I'm just a bit worried

So then sell the turbo stuff and toss a good cam and headers at the thing along with decent tuning and you should be good to go.

The only worry is making more power than the sad old worn out slushbox can handle, other than that your golden.

I was probably going to start off with lower boost, and slowly work up to see where I get just some extra top end kick, for up hill trailer towing kind of thing. I'm not going for monster here... Even though from the sounds of it I could. I suppose it will just act like a school bus in a way, a constant spool, with minimal blow off...

Lol, well that's a good sign. The turbo I have is a 16g, I'm told a "big" 16g. I have no experiance with turbos. So ill prolly be asking a lot of ?'s when the time comes to start working on it. Lol
