What are you all doing for gauges? Currently Im setup with an A/F, Boost, and Oil Pressure gauges in my A-pillar and they are larger than Id like. Are there other places people are putting gauges on the SVTs, or is the A-pillar the only real option?
If it is the best option, what brand pod should I be looking at? My current one is junk.
Also, how important is it that I know my A/F ration on a JRSC Big Boost Kit application that is being daily driven? Sure I get on it once in a while, but its been professionally tuned (conservative) and Im never throttling it for long periods of time. Id understand having the gauge is a good idea, but perhaps putting it somewhere a little bit less 'distracting' than on the A-pillar perhaps? Ideas?

I don't have a gauge setup in my car yet but I have a A-piller 3-pod that I will be useing.
You could use your two center air vents to put gauges in, I have seen that done.
A/F is probably the most important gauge. Sure the chances of anything happening are slim but its there to let you know if something is not right.

Yes, I believe so. It was on the car when I bought it and everything was installed at Massive, and the gal I bought it from was pretty hardcore.
I dont know much about FI or the gauges that go along with it, but this thing is bouncing around its arc all of the time. It usually hovers at the 1:00 position, displaying 15.5 to 16. Under throttle, it decreases to 11 or so, but quickly resumes its position back in the 15.5-16 range while cruising.

Cool, I'd keep the o2 gauge then. Actually, the whole setup sounds pretty good for a SC'ed car.

under WOT you want it rich, especialy with boost, the a/f mix will lean out when the throttle is slapped shut due to the sudden lack of incoming air( the tps and maf will know when the time to shut down the duty cycle of the injectors to lean out the fuel). your set up is doing what its sposta. stoich is like 14.7-1 but this is amaz-a-zingly umpossible to stay at as the demands are a constaint variable .Glass Joe wrote:

http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/xd16.phpthe a/f gauge reads just the same as a os sensor. a o2 sensor will bounce from lean to rich and the cat monitor(o2 sensor 2) will monitor the upstream sensor and calculate in the pcm as how to adjust the fuel trims, thously giving a rich/lean sweep if the tuning is done right( witch it sounds as it is) the o2s and yer and short term fuel trims should corispond with one another to kepp the trims in a constant dance of rich/lean till the womp pedal is pressed into the carpet then the trims will run to one side of the boat and go rich.

So, looking at my gauge (via the link) when that thing swings to the left (12:00 back to 9:00) am I then running rich or lean? Ive assumed that Ive been running lean at that time, but based off of what you just said, it would be rich (since Im at WOT).focinite wrote:words

There's not a whole lot of room behind the cover for the moonroof.
Could use this and put it up onto the moonroof cover. It would somewhat hidden.

a good spot to mount a gauge and have it outta site is in the drivers cup holder. other wise take the panal that holds the head light switch and mount it in there.
