What i had before was a massive system, but when it would really pound without the caps all my lights would dim and once i got the caps i never had any issues with any power drains or lights dimming and such
A cap holds energy, then quickly dis-charges it. Then it has to charge back up again. It gets the energy from your alternator/battery, so what is it really helping? It doesn't magically get energy from nowhere, or increase the amount of energy your car already has... Make sense?
My car now has about 1700 watts rms going through it, and the lights barely dim at full tilt. All I have is the big three, and proper grounding for my amps.
I have a pre-made 4 gauge alternator to battery wire if you want it. That will take care of the hardest wire to do in the big three.
