k got a f/s long tube 4 into 1 took a bout an hour to get it in went to thread the egr tube back in and it dont fit, so i forced it a tad and heard tink, found that on the valve side it fell,,, fell! out. so instead of dickin with it ill get to the questiojn. if i were to take and cap the header and the valve what is the likely hood of setting the check engine light off all the time,, or is there A quick simple way to get the pcm not to see or fool it into thinking it is all right , does it send it lean or rich,,, i know i shouldent ask this being a ford. sorry ex ford tech but my brain is fried and i hurt, so any help please :oops:

Yeah, I had to wrestle my egr, you should be able to cut the tubing, and, take that piece that screws into the header off, put a penny in the header and screw that piece in to hold the penny(or a ground down nickle?). On the manifold side, I would just crimp 'n bend the tubing over, I spose, you could do that with the header side too, but, the first mentioned would be neater looking as opposed to the tubing hanging broken there. Either way, you will prob get a CEL. I got a CEl because my rear o2 couldn't plug in, but, that fucker still blinked on #4 missfire :cry:

WTF is an EGR. No EGR=CEL. I think it runs a little rich, at least in my experience with a car with no EGR and no boost. O

chip == disabled egr, plugged egr on header with 22Mx1.5 oil drain plug... made a blockage on the intake manifold so no vacuum leak would occur... DONE! ;)

*cough* no CEL */cough*

No rear o2=CEL unless you shelled out and got the extention for it.

Use SCT Pro Racer package to reprogram ECU, get exhaust header with no EGR out, block intake hole=no CEL
Slower than your stock focus.

only race header w/o EGR is SVT oem (non-kit). The rest you usually have to plus with 22Mx1.5

i ended up taking the ends of the egr tub( for those of you..exhaust gas return/recirculate) and welding the holes shut capped the header and the valve , drove around and the vale cap came out. when the egr is open and cyles it sounds like a super charger with a mean ass sucking then tweep noise i had some 240sx and some honda boys doing a double take it was great fun. i like that header only now my car is like 90,kazillion time louder and im almost embarresed to drive it. ive heard you guys talk about resinatores, that should take the kackle out of the derby car ( my foci) i hope. it scared an old lady and the woman heard me go by on hwy 10 from in the apartment and said" i thaught i would never stop hearing that thing". :oops:

You have to ask Pitch Black about my race header, no EGR. Also my Turbo manifold doesn't have an EGR set up :wink:

Eh, I bought the cheapest one I could fine. A OBX 4-2-1. I did'nt have a problem with it at all. And yes, I bought the cheaper wire for the o2 sensor.

i got a focus sport 4 into 1 long tube with flex pipe... i got a 2 and 1/2 collector to 2 1/4 flex to a 2 1/4 magna flow cat back. now i sound more like a piped out chain saw, but i g-teched at 16.3 at 89 mph on a crap launch and a brake tap right at the end of the run( no more playing on the road by work) the header really helps ..alot! i feel i might be knockin on the door of high 15s not bad for a e bay automatic car :twisted: just need to not be soo loud! blab blab blab bbrbrbbrrbrbaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhbblaaaa!

I just replaced my OBX-4-2-1,bosal flex,mbrp w/ resinator combo with OBX-4-2-1,bosal flex and Borla SVT... night and day difference :D

Well, if you wanted to meet up some time, I could be inclined to trade ya my 1st part of my exhaust for yours, maybe temporary or permanent? I want to hear what a non-resonated exhaust sounds like on my car, I have the magnaflow catback w/ a magnaflow resonator(18" I think?) on it. Otherwise, I was thinking of trying the borla exhaust(thats what comes on the svt?).

I want something to make the cams sound a bit meaner.

Hit me up on aim or msn if your interested, I have tuesday and sunday off.

I want to show my neighbors that think I have loud exhaust now, what loud truly is :twisted:
