I have the turbo from an aurocharger turbo kit and the exhaust manifold, this kit was made for the 2000-2004 zetec focus. I do not know much about the kit, make me an offer! The kit was removed from my old focus at DB performance, the turbo and manifold are all I kept. Do not have pictures at this time.

I have no clue, I only have those parts. Aurocharger makes snowmobile turbo kits 2, but this one was made for a ford focus. Taking any and all offers.

The AC kit did not come with an intake manifold. There were three versions, AC1 was non intercooled, AC2 and 3 were intercooled and the AC3 featured a high/low boost switch. The basic kit was the turbo, turbo mount pipe, air filter, intake pipe, boost guage, and a bottle of turbo oil IIRC. No header was part of the kits. Suck through, not blow through maf.

The turbo is variable vane and self oiling. No oil feed or drain lines necessary. The AC's were known for having boost control issues meaning the turbos were set from the factory and trying to up the boost was not possible with a boost controller. IIIRC the boost is controlled by the length of a vacuum tube that was connected to something akin to a carb fuel jet on the turbo.

The turbo is smaller of the two offered by the manufacturer. It is the 53 series. Boost is quick due to vv, and whp was in the 175-180whp range, intercooled.

Two things come to mind. First, being self oiling, you can put this thing anywhere, just copy or cut the mounting flange off the mount pipe. It doesn't matter the orientation either. Second, the turbos are extremely expensive to rebuild, being in the $1500+ range. The main reason for this is there is only one guy who does this and it is nothing like rebuilding a conventional turbo as it has more moving parts and critical clearances. I believe the website http://www.aerocharger.com is where to go for contact/information regarding rebuilding.

Being the condition of this turbo is unknown, making rebuilding a potential, price will be a gamble. I am not trying to work the sale price up or down. I am just helping to provide information as this turbo kit has not been sold in at least 6 or 7 years and kit details are few. If you search aerocharger on FocalJet, you will see the old threads. Worth reading. Also zurno has the AC3 kit, so talking to him would be worth it and you may be able to reproduce the parts needed to complete the kit by seeing his.

^ Thanks for the info.
I know this was one of the intercooled kits. I know how rare this kit is, and that the condition is unknown. So that is why I am open to all offers.

Zurno still has the Aerocharger on his car, I believe he had to have the turbo rebuilt about a year ago so they seem to have a pretty good lifespan.

I drove Zurnos car a few years ago with the old turbo and built engine and I drove it reecently with the rebuilt turbo and stock engine and it's a blast for sure, Basically zero spool time and no lag, just go, go, go.
