I love how abitrary auto repair shop prices are. I wanted to get the front ball joints and sway bar links as soon as possible, so I called Tires Plus in Forest Lake for a quote and for parts (I think, he didn't say) and labor plus an alignment i don't want $775. I'LL PASS!!! So then for curiosities sake I decided to call Tire Plus in St. Croix Falls for the same qoute and to my suprise $345, I'm shocked, thats less than half the price. Need less to say I'm going to St. Croix tomorrow to get the work done. Moral of the story is shop around for price when getting repair work done.
I know I could do better than $345, but I need this stuff done yesterday.
k fer one , if st croiw is a corp store you just got the manager fired( i work at a corp tires plus store) its a big no,no to install cutomers parts ,as all customers are dumb asses and fer two all and i do mean ALL sales people are dumb asses at these places, i get most my work cut in half do to the lack of proper labor quote time for example i had two control arms on a volvo s60, they pay .8 or eight tenths of one hour, per arm, i got half that to do the whole job. also as a side note unless you dont care how fast your expensive tire wear out i would always aling a car when any suspention or steering work has been done.
