My sister has a Focus Wagon and recently had someone break her rear window. She had it replaced but now the electric door popper is not opening the hatch. She says she hears the latch, but it does not pop out. Any ideas on what what may be binding this up? The window was replaced too. She lives in Spokane, WA so it is not frozen down and it was working prior to the break in. It does open with the key just fine.

does it pop open at all? half way? i had a similar prob where i'd hit the button and when i went back ther it was half open. i figured out it was the air pressure of closeing the door.
A friend asked me if I wanted a frozen banana, I said "No, but I want a regular banana later, so Yeah."

No, its not moving at all. When she hits her key fob from outside the car it is not moving at all. I've done the door close gt dang hatch routine before.

With these temps, I have to pop the latch with the remote while pulling up on the hatch to get it to open. If I just pop the latch via the cluster button right now, I just piss myself off.

Chalon, maybe you need to replace the batt in your key fob? Sounds like it does'nt have enough power to pop the hatch all the way open...

get the hatch open and mit a screw driver flip the latch closed andpop it open whilest watching the stricker, if it is slow it needs a latch, if it pops wiff some force then try to readjust it , also this may sound odd, but do the hatch struts hold up the door? if not they will need to be replaced, they do help poop it out altitle.
