Think a new set of wheels to go with the winter build.

And I like the look of Rota Grids. 16x7, +40mm Offset, then a mild stretch to make them pop. I like the concave design. Anyone else like these wheels? It will be in this color.

Nice wheels.

But...

Stretch on a 7" wheel with a high offset looks like shit.

Pretty sure I have yet to poke around on who has them in stock. Rota says they manufacture them on their website, so even if whoever I order them from doesn't have them, I will be able to order them. Idk. I will sell my MB Wheels before I buy another set. I'm not baller enough to afford two sets of wheels and tires at the same time. ;)

You can check Rota's US inventory here: http://www.rotawheel.com/AVAILABILITY2.htm. As we all know, the 4x108 pattern is limited, and Rota barely restocks 4x108 wheels once a year. Because of this, all are drop shipped from Rota's US warehouse. Slips and Grids are the main two. Others are special order and expect a wait of 3 months.

The current on hand for Grids shows 1 set of 16x7/45mm offset in RGM, which is Royal Gun Metal. If you want them now, I would contact 18racing.com to buy them. This set is not a direct fit to the Focus, as it has the 73 hub bore (Focus has 63.35), so they would require hub centric rings which 18racing should include (could be extra).

There is an extremely unlikely chance you may find a set of dual pattern drilled 4x100/4x108 somwhere...but I have never seen a set of these in Grids.

We'll see. I mean I have no problem waiting. I am pretty partial to the gold, so if I have to special order them, I will. I really like the entire design of the wheel, and I have been wishing I had bought 16's. Like I said, we'll see, but so far I can tell that most people like the style. I'm wanting to see what they may look like on a Focus. Anyone ever see them before?

Volks' original TE-37 'LO's' IMO are a way better looking wheel, but impossible to find in a FWD offset/fitment...

Eitherway, Rotas are still a decent wheel, considering the shit people say about them, and the Grids are a clean looking wheel...

And I agree, a 16x9 Grid with 215/45 tires would be teh shit!

We'll see. I priced out the build for the winter and it's already tapping 1k, without tunning. I'd need to sell the other set of wheels before I got those. We'll see.
