I'm thinking it is due time for a flasher and tune for my svt. The only modifications I have are a ported stock throttle body (the stage 2 TB you can get from steve) and a K&N panel filter. Any suggestions on what route to go or who to get a tune from?
Thanks Guys!

Well I was just looking through the dyno thread on FF and from what I can see, tune is a waste of money.

IMO the gains don't equate to spending another $400 for at most 5WHP.

Looking on FSworks or Focussport as they used to be named they show a dyno sheet of an SVT focus with cool flo and exhaust showing almost 20 hp increase at certain rpms given their sct flasher and tune.

A tune on an SVT is one of the best mods you can do.
A stock SVT dynos around 143 whp and 128 lb ft, mine with my tune put down 154 whp and 140 lb ft and that doesn't even begin to cover all the driveability issues a tune will fix.
BTW-the numbers I posted were done on the same night within 30 minutes on the same dyno so it's a solid comparison.
Anyone that doesn't think those gains are worthwhile have never driven a stock vs tuned SVT.
Go with Focus sport or I can point you at the guy that did mine.

That would be great. I would rather get it tuned on a dyno specifically for the "minimal" mods I have, to ensure drivability since it is my daily driver.

Then just get the Focus Sport mail order tune, it's a proven tune and basic bolt ons honestly don't affect the car enough to justify a bunch of dyno time for tuning.Arsenal741 wrote:That would be great.
