I just don't get it. In 2001 when I purchased my first Focus, I had a lot less money and didn't know how to drive a stick - So I bought the cheapest automatic that I could find. The Focus ran good - no problems - except a gas pump recall that happened maybe a month or two before I traded it in. Then I get the 2004 Focus SVT - I got it March '04 - Since then My clutch went out at 3,000 miles. My gas tank notifier thingy has been replaced 2 times. I went in for an oil change - left the dealership with a dent in my rear quarter panel - Brought it back to get it fixed, and when I got it back my interior all along my driver side door and back seat was falling apart. Not to mention my passenger side foglight has busted twice - Who's brilliant idea was it to make glass foglights by the way?

- ok -

And now by latest episode with the Focus....In February on the way to work I hit a patch of ice, and went flying - dinged up the back end real good, and now I am just waiting to get 500 together in order to get my car fixed yet again.

Anyone else think their SVT is more problems than it is worth....

I could have bought another focus - kept the extra money I would have spent on the SVT and buy many "extras" that in my opinion could make the car a lot better than the SVT....

besides the shit that seams to keep on happening to you. yes i think it would be better to have a focus stock and "play" with it to find the focus you want. the svt is over priced and underperformerd. it works fine for those that can afford it and deal with it. but for those that are into "tuning" the car i think they would be better off buying stock and working from there.
