Salute to soldiers

I know some of you don't check out MNSC so I am posting this here too. Queensryche is set to release their latest record titled "American Soldier". Military.com is hosting the premiere of their 1st video release of their single "If I were king". This record is based on numerous interviews with American Soldiers from WWII to the present conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Hats off to our soldiers that are also MNFOCUS members.

FYI...to go along with the release of the new Queensryche album Sirius/XM has teamed up with Queensryche for a special broadcast this weekend (starting tonight at 6pm eastern). Take a listen or email your request. I listened to the entire album on the VH1 website and i have to say that as a Gulf War vet myself the songs were very moving.

This is the latest video from this album. I saw this tour live earlier this year. Very touching song, Geoff Tate's daughter on vocals. For me this song hits home pretty hard, my son was born when I was out to sea in the Navy. Lot's of photos from service men and women included.

Wow, this is truely great stuff. I'll never understand why there isn't more of this type of thing going on to honor the men and women who sacrifice so much (everything really, in so many different ways) for this country. Two big thumbs up!!

Chalon, I was able to thank the band personally when they were out this way. I saw quite a few former and current soldiers thanking them for the entire record. It was really pretty cool.

Damn, that would have left a huge impression on me. That's a very cool experience....I'm jealous!
