I want to drop my SVT and apparently there is no camber adjustment at all on the SVT. Vince, who was the best tech @ Tousley and now has his own shop in Hugo, Lutz Auto, confirmed that for me. He said he can take care of the fronts, but the rear is the problem. FRPP sells a rear sub-frame with camber adj. on it, but do I really need that just to drop it? I seen alot of droped focus @ Tousley. What did you guys do. I am looking at "drop springs". It would be a 1'' drop.
Solution?????
Help!! How to drop an SVT???

how far? 2 inch drop is the cut off point. and i have worked with vice, tell him that tom ryans wounder kid says slot the bigger of the two latteral arms on the sub frame side. or you can buy my svt sub frame that i already sloted for 70 bucks( some damage, but you have the good part already) i wouldnt worry to much, drop another half to three quater inch out and youll still be in spec with the camber, plus it helps with coner stability.

Honestly it depends on the kit, I've seen KW coil over kits that do 2.5 - 3" drops and NOT need a camber caster kit, but I've also seen a 1.5" drop drastically need a kit.
So again it all depends on what kit you get and what the alignment folks say.

Would'nt the rear camber bolts take care of the alignment issure?
It might be different on the SVT, but I would'nt think it is that much different then a zx_.

Pants too tight, wheels so bright!
I'm geting springs from FRPP. It should drop mine 1''. Your sloted latteral arms are still good though right? What's damaged? Is the bigger of the two the top one conected to the top of the knuckle? Vince said there is no camber bolts in the rear. All though I thought the rear sub frame on the SVT is the same as the ZX3 according to Steve. How did you drop yours?

the big arm that goes front to back has a tweek, but it can be replaced with your existing one. a one inch drop should be safe, unless you go with a 18 inch rim, it will multiply the camber a tad. you should have no problems at all with the set up you are going with, put the springs in and enjoy. i got a little over an inch out of mine and i check my aling at work every once and a while, still in spec, youll have to adjust toe after the drop though.rsheak02 wrote:I'm geting springs from FRPP.
