Then I get customers and help them.. take care of everything they need... and then I open up the web browser again and go to mnfocus. ------"BLOCKED" The admins or whatever in the corporate offcie that monitor our internet usage blocked the site I was just on 5 mins ago... and I'm the only one who goes to this site so its not like its a big problem. And later on I get a call from corporate saying I need to restart my computer but he'll do it for me.. and I watch my mouse pointer on the screen close my work application and restart the computer (he's doing this from a diff building in a diff city BTW).
You gotta be kidding me
So I'm at work... no customers, nothing to do.. so I'm on mnfocus.com.

Luckily, I don't have big brothers watching me when I'm on the break room computer. LOL 26mg download speed makes my home computers feel oh so slow.

that's crazy that they watch you that close!
at my work, I used to be able to use the net all day long as long as it didn't effect my production for the day (I run a CNC Router, so I load a big sheet of wood and it does it's thing for a few minutes then I unload it so... I had time)
my supervisor didn't care, but the second shift supervisor hates everybody on first shift so he used to try all kinds of shit to restrict my web access. however, I am much better versed in computers and networking than he so i always found a way around. until one day, he fucking PLANTED a virus on my computer and went to the owner of the company saying he saw me on the internet so obviously I infected the computer. the guy's a freak like that. (he's stolen my work gloves before because they had a bunch of stuff he couldn't read written on them.... tons of ppl drawn on their gloves, we're bored!)
so now... big ol' hardware firewall keeps me from using the net at work now.
1st shift and 2nd shift dont get along so well. lol they always steal shit and leave the place a mess for us the next morning, not to mention their production numbers suck and their QC has MUCH to be desired.
o well.
sorry to bore you all! lol

Ah,ha,ha, I get paid to be here!!
Although our internet Nazis have blocked Photobucket so I can't see any pics that people post. I never need those you know. It's not like I need to see a particular part someone wants or show the a part I'm selling.
Corporate morons!!!
The best part is that the dickhead that sits next to me spends most of his day trying to hook up with old women on some geriatric dating site that isn't blocked. WTF is that???

I think you should run (and possibly own) Tousley Ford
3 Fords, 1 Mercury, 1 Honda, 1 Yamaha
That, my friend, is exactly why they invented such things as TOR and PRIVOXY. Lets just say that running these made it possible to avoid General Order No. 1 when "surfing" the inner net on a Gov't line.
Cheers,

Yes but you've gotta be able to have an open port to be able to access those technologies. For example, Everything at my work is fire walled off. Except for ports 22 and 23. So What I do is run a SSH tunnel over port 23, into my home router. I then Tunnel a http proxy over that tunnel as well as use remote desktop over the tunnel.19-Delta wrote:That, my friend, is exactly why they invented such things as TOR and PRIVOXY. So it all depends on if there are open ports open and also if your PC isn't locked down to where you can install the software ness. to accomplish that.
