The older Mondeo's were basically the same as a contour. They shared basically the same drivetrain. This one definitely looks like a focus ST with the appearance package tho
More rare then an Aston DB9

3 Fords, 1 Mercury, 1 Honda, 1 Yamaha

WTF? Why can Ford - Europe, sell less than 1,000 ST220's in one year and still make money? And more importantly, why can't Ford North America pull its head of its ass, and do the same type of limited "performance" editions that the UK or Euro gets?
It wouldn't be hard to drop their 3.5L/300hp into the Fusion, add a "SAP" and AWD and sell it as a BMW-3/Lexus/Infinity killer. Shit all of the parts are already in the system, the engine has met all EPA crap, it is actually smaller than the 3.0 IIRC. Just put on some stronger springs, body kit and sell a couple thousand. No real risk, not a lot of R&D, but think of what it would do to Ford's image if they could make a sedan that is in the same league as the STi or M3?
Of course Ford NA is too conservative/stupid to try something like this. -Those BASTARDS!
Cheers,
Tim
