NEW RATTLE !!!

Hey guys i was wondering my car makes this rattle in between like 1k and 2k rpms and its not the cat shield because that fell off LOL so what else rattles that i should know of ????????????????? if i cant figure it out im going to take it to the dealer! blah!!

Wonder if its the same thing mine does. I've been told its in the cat, some shit falls apart in teh cat, and rattles at a certain RPM. Could be that maybe.

check the cat mount bracket for crackin or loosness. another thing to check.. take the cover that goes over the cam gears off and see if the belt flaps . this is common, it may be time for a belt and tensioner kit. :wink:

I listened for that noise last night, and I can't hear it anymore. I have'nt really heard it since some dumbasses in a blue focus and black Hyndai ran me on 494...LOL

ok guys i think the rattle is my bracket from when the cat heat shield broke off... but i also have a creaking noise coming from my front suspension what could possible creak ?? struts or shocks or bushings on something ??? if anyone wants to come by and help me pinpoint it i have the beer :D but if it is something like the struts im taking it in under warrenty !

a creek. most common are the stabalizer links. check your stab bar bushings for craking or dry rot. also the control arm bushings are good for nvh problems.

the heat shield covered under the warranty? make em replace the whole cat for it, lol

yea i should have them replace the whole cat lol.... but what a day i tell ya!!!!!!!!! im out in whitebear lake on my bike and my clutch goes out !@#!@#$!%@%@%#%@#$ so now i have to get that fixed and monday im calling the dealer to have them look at my bushings for the Creek :D so im sure ill get to drive a gay tourus for like a week :( sigh i need a beer !
