I have no clue of why scott posted this but . . .
every political leader, religious leader, leader in general usually comands others to respect them. Usually there are a few who know the leader personally and have for some time. The views of those close friends are used to recruit others, and so on and on. The grand goal is to gather as many followers as possiable and fofill the goal set forth from the beginning. Everyone will not trust everyone, ever. It is not something you should expect to happen. There are always those of us who are cautious of semingly rediculious claims, with good reason.
You should never trust anyone solely on a name or title. Do some research, talk with those who know the person and form your own opinion. If everyone choose someone their buddy liked we would just be herded cattle.
