To my knowledge, there is no shim kit as what needs to be done is figure out what shim is neccesary then order that shim.
Now, I would not worry about the shimming of it as with the front wheel drive style diffs, it is not as important to shim the diff as there is no way to adjust gear backlash, only the position of the pinion to the ring gear and a new diff will not be off enough to justify re-shimming it. Now, if You were replacing a case half or both, I would recomend it, but not with just the diff. This is how I did Doughboy's diff and it is working good.

Well, if there is a ford part for it that's fine, but like I said, shimming isn't neccesary and if You don't want to pay a dealer to do it for you, then You will have to buy some special tools and precision measuring equipment to figure out what shim You need and then You will have to press the outer race out of the case, replace the shim with the neccesary shim and press in the outer race. After all this is done, You more than likely find out it wasn't neccesay to shim the diff as the difference will prolly be minimal.
