I wanna know what everyone that has a header thinks of the brand they bought?
Is long tube better than short tube?
What header is the loudest and vic virsa?
Do I have to buy a flex pipe with a long tube header?

All of these are NOOB questions, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that's wondering.

I'm just trying to finish up my exaust system. I have the Focus Sport cat back exaust, an AEM CAI, and soon I'll have a steeda throttle body. I bought the focus sport exaust because it wasn't that loud and I kinda want to go the same road with the header.

Well you answered your own question. If you want long go with the full SVT set up like nblume. anything else will eliminate the cat and that means loud.
Slower than your stock focus.

Yeah the full SVT setup is not loud at all, Rod and Lee can confirm that, just nice and deep.

Only problem is getting the full SVT setup is more expensive than just going a long tube and an ORP.

You want a long tube header no doubt, you don't want a shorty, it will fry your cat.

Oh and I finally got my dipstick tube pulled by ford, they did it free of charge, the hole had rusted making in thin, thats why it wouldn't pull out, but it's all good now and I'll have my car at the porky's meet if your going to make it, you can hear it there.

I have an old ceramic coated long tube, but that is feeding the turbo, and I bought it this way, so I guess my opinion doesn't count

oh ya, I see you can get the SVT header as a ceramic coated one, might be a good buy

I got a FS 4-1 header, stock flex, 2.25" magnaflow exhaust with resonator.

Its not overly loud, in one of my SVT manifold threads there is a few videos, but, I also have cams, and, more air in=more noise...

Rod heard my setup and said it was loud...I think its pretty mellow...

Some day, when I got money, I am going for SVT ceramic coated, with SVT flex and ORP.

I have a long tube 4-2-1 OBX. With no cat, and a straight thru Mangaflow, it gets pretty loud when stepped on...

OBX 4-2-1, no cat, full 2.5" exhaust. Actually is quite in to my ears, doesn't really perk up until around 5k.

I've got the Focus Sport long tube header, FS 2.5" flex, and the SVT/Borla Center Exit exuast with 18" FS resinator and to me it sounds perfect, not too loud and not too quiet.

The FS exhaust is what Foci had before this magnaflow I got off of him, he said it was loud. Speaking of Foci, where has he been? How did his turbo project go?

I run old school exhaust, lol. Focus Central 1.75 primary 4-2-1 with the 2.5" collector. The exhaust will get re-done this summer, probally use truebendz 2.5" piping and a Hooker Aerochamber with my SHM can.

Just looked at their site, http://www.trubendz.com/home.asp?produc ... ype=detail
$140 for tubing don't sound too bad to me. Add another $70 for my muffler and I am set.
