All I gotta say is wow.
Its got euro style with great NA power.
Damn.
Only if ford america would give us good cars. I see no reason we can't at least get an awd focus. Ford's line up is dull and boring like old people. Even the new mustang sucks ass. Its not that great in styling, nothing I want in my garage, the fusion is ugly, and, there are no real performance cars. I mean, the new gto can beat a new mustang in trim level and power output, and, price. 33k for a 6 speed 400hp rwd machine:P
Edmunds gives a lot of props to ford for the "responsive steering" and "car-like handling abilities(on suv/mini vans, and, tears into the exploder for the boring look and lack of options on other suvs)", but, in the end, I yawn at them. Chrysler has the right idea, offer a boring base model, and, an SRT trim level, I mean, awd sueprcharged jeep, supercharged crossfire, turbo econo car, large displacement, power outputting v8's. The new fords are a huge turn off to me.
Check this ford

aussies ftw
and I totally disagree with your opinion of Ford's lineup, and the GTO is priced well above the Mustang I believe

no i agree with scotty! come on ford, the most exiting thing that they have offered in the past 15 years is a hopped up taurus, and the 04 cobra, and the lightning! but look at gm at all budget levels they have some sort of performance option... sorry i have lost where i was going with this....ohyeah..look at dodge they have the srt line. in europe they have all sorts of sport lines in the ford family, but not here, ford says that the cars like the rs, and moneao sports and festeva rs are to harsh and the american poeple dont like that.... bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!! im about ready to start a patision to send to ford and demand that they start producing some cars and trucks with that fun to drive feeling. its bad when some one has to take a motor frome one car( mustang) and put it in a nother (focus) just to get some bad ass car... fuck it when i do the conversion im going with a 5.3 gm and trans its cheaper and more powerful....man i dont know ford can lick my ass, they are the perverbial cock teases of th car world," oh lets give them a awsome platform and then find the wheezyest four banger to put in it!!!!!!" fuck you ford!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Compare the gto with 6 speed to the stang gt with the same options. GTO makes more power and is quicker and looks a lot better in and out to boot.
Oh, and GM's financing is pretty hot since they sorta screwed themselves, deep discounts and low itnerest.

A guy I have dealt with in Australia sent me a video of his Aussie Falcon and it is pretty impressive.
He now has the worlds only right hand drive 2004 Mystichrome Cobra.

Check these links, It looks like the Aussies get the new Focus turbo.
http://www.ford.com.au/
And this makes me want to cry, Why do we not get these???
http://www.fpv.com.au/index.asp?link_id=2
Check out the GTP, 290 kw converts to 388 hp, normally aspirated 5.4 liter, six speed sedan.
WHAT THE HELL IS FORD THINKING!!!
How about the F6 Typhoon, Turbo intercooled inline six 360 horse badass.
NAH, those would never sell in the states.
I just went through the build and price section and the car came to $70,400 Australian, That's about $50,000 U.S.
That was a loaded GTP 6 speed manual, 19" wheels with the oh so lovely 6 pot Brembos. I WANT ONE!!!

The Mustang GT premium has a base of $27,000 The GTO has a base of $31,900. As far as looks go, The Mustang is not perfect but at least it doesn't look like a bloated Grand Am.
I'd take one of those Aussie Falcons over either of those in a heartbeat, next in line would be the new Focus RS turbo.
