the blower makes decent noise. it blends in with my exhaust though and i think my exhaust is little louder.

Yes, your exhaust is louder, more air in, more air out:)

if you are going for JRSC, you might also wanna get 70mm MAF as well. I just finally get the MAF installed last week

I don't know why but the new code i got makes my tranny going weird. i need to go back to the tune shop and get it reburn.

Did you install your SC yourself or have a shop do it?

I am wondering how long the install takes, but, again, I guess it don't matter since you have to send the computer into jackson racing to be reprogrammed :x

Why not just get it dyno tuned, take it to Hitech, spend $500 it gets you the diablo chip and unlimited dyno time. this eliminates the need to spend a but load on a maf that is calibrated for 42# injectors, they can do all that off of the chip, also less down down and chance of fucking up your ECU if you have to send it in.

Becuase the JR kit comes with everything needed out of the box(big reason I would even consider thier product), it takes 2 working days to get your ecu back from them(comes with a pre-paid over night box for your ECU), as to them fucking it up, I am sure they are tested before they go out the door(they prob have a stack ready to ship as soon as they get yours). To buy it, and, to try to gimp it to hitech, spend another 500$, is just pointless. I would use the JR tune until I actually had more mods that would justify the 500$ price tag of thier tune(adjustable cam gears, larger maf, more boost)

I dont have a garage and tools needed so I have the shop do it.
you will have to move your power steering fluid container if you have JRSC installed. i had mine moved to the front.
Well the JRSC comes with the black box but i never use it since i have diablo and AFAIK it only cost me $65 to get the chip reburn.

Since you're the "I KNOW EVERYTHING" member of the week, you should know that a dyno or street tune will ALWAYS be better than a guestimate. My dyno is living proof of that. Safe to drive and beat on, but not the most power you'll make.

No one said anything about a guestimate? :?:

I'd like to push for the all knowing member of the decade also. 8)

That's what the JRSC tune is. It's a safer tune that should be fine. Even knowing what mods someone has, you can't completely tune for any setup without some sort of numbers pulled from a data logger.

The JRSC tune is something that should be completely safe to run daily without a dyno tune, you also won't yield as much power as you can because it's generally going to run richer.

And the JRSC also dumps off boost the closer you get to reline to preserve the life of your motor, but, all the eatons do that anyways.

It is a strange sound to hear it, you hear blower working and then you hit near your redline and it is all motor.

I figure that the mass produced tunes that go with the blowers have an extra tolerance, just to find out what it is. I am thinking of getting a crank over drive pulley that is suppose to allow the SC to pick up a few extra PSI(2-3 they claim). I don't think the JRSC will have enough to bust rods if guys are making 200+ at the wheels with a stock bottom end. But, we will see, a new short block is 650$

i'd like to make my focus rwd, but one can dream....

Here is a JRSC vid I founded.

http://media.putfile.com/DynoSteeda

Almost sounds like the old sueprcoupe, the m45 doesn't quite cut it like the m90 does. :(

I am too lazy to host, but, I got some good lightning and supercoupe vids, love the eaton whine.

Dyno to go with that car...

The high flat line is the torque line if I am reading it right.

And his sig for ref of parts in the car.

JRSC BBK, FC65mm TB, K&N air filter, FR spark plug wires, one step colder copper spark plugs, Kamikaze Race header, FC Flex pipe, 2 1/4 Magnaflow catback w/ custom dual tip, 36"Magnaflow resonator, Steeda tri-ax short shifter, SVT springs, Eibach struts, front and rear strut bars, EvoIII body kit a bit modified, JR gauges, projector headlights, FR tail lights, ICW 392 Acclaim 17" wheels, Nankang tires, EBC rotors, Hawk pads, mintex shoes, JR stainless steel brake lines.

His exhaust is almost the same as my car, sounds very simular, I have foci's old FS header, I don't think my resonator is quite 36" long either.

Honestly I think the JRSC with the BBK could be a very good kit. I'm waiting for the day someone lets me drive one so I can compare it to the Vortech. I know for the longest time iamgod was talking about putting an SVT JRSC on a Focus but he knows more about that then I do. IIRC it has the bigger eaton blower.
