ok dumb question, how much, or how big of shots are most of you runnin, im wunderin how big a shot i can run with the automatic(have cooler and soon tune to firm shifts) can you launch wit da bottle, or do you want it on after a certin rpm, i have stock cams as of now, and soon the new converter is going in( i have heard that the spray will make a stock tourqe converter stall or act as if i had a higher stall). im tired of the lack luster performance of this slow ass car, its getting to the point where im not gonna take the time to convert it to a v8, i need to go faster right now! its an ego thing, thats right i said it, i wanna make all those stupid rednecks with the 5 different pimmer colored cammaros eat my ever so smoothed ass.... im thinkin a 75 shot wich would be good for that once i get the right cams. also what is better wet or dry, i know wet is a little more on the safer side, but a dry kit is cheaper, what seems to respond better? where do you get it filled? do i need a spacific tune to run nitros? what kit is/seems to be the best, to me it looks like the zex kit, but im in the dark when it comes to spray, im pretty much a n/a or no way kinda guy.

Ok, Justin and I both run ZEX. You NEED to run a wet or direct port wet kit. You don't need a tune for it but it doesn't hurt, you must just run premium gas 92-93octane, and AZFS-22C spark plugs. Justin is SC'd and runs a 55 shot, I have cams, and all those goodies and I run a 65 shot. I personally wouldn't go over a 65 shot. I get mine filled by a guy in Cottage Grove, but there are quite a few places around town, prices vary from $40-55 to fill.
Any more?

IIRC the automatic transmissions really dislike nitrous. I think I remember someone running a 35 and saying they didn't want to run much more because the transmission can't handle it. I'd do some research on FJ and FF because my understanding is that the weak point when it comes to power with the automatics is the transmission.
reconstruction.

My guess it'll slip super hardcore. I wouldn't even run it on a stock clutch because it would be toast after a day of running it.

I think with a good converter, trans cooler, you should be fine, just don't lauch it with nos, use it once your rolling, this will reduce the shock on the trans, if the power works kit can be used on a stock auto, I would think you should be fine with a 35-60 shot.

I ran a wet Nos kit for awhile on my auto and it worked likke crap. THe stock trans doesn't like power at all. That's why I'm swapping to a manual. If your looking to run some serious power atleast look into having your trans rebuilt by the place on focaljet.
I'm not the MN ZX3 w/ Cali plates anymore.
A cop came by and trashed my dreams.

Swap to stick with CM Stage3, Fidanza Flywheel and Steeda Short Shifter

Out of curiousisty(more or less stuck on my ass for a while) I looked around, it seems the stock torque converter is the weak link in the auto, its rated of about 135 ft/tq, not sure how involved you wanna get, but, ford racing does have some parts for the auto avail, they have a TC that is rated for 35% more then stock, off the top of my head thats going to be about another 45 foot pounds it can handle over stock(180ft/tq). The suggested price on that is 570$, at that price, I would swap in an mtx-75...used one would prob run you about 300-ish depending on the wrecking yard, since it is out, drop in gears, lsd, then, throw in a decent stage 1, maybe stage 2 clutch, and walla
I am not sure of all of the parts involved for the swap, but there are write ups on how to do it...drive your truck for awhile and do a trans swap?

not that easy, but it may have to get done know. at work today we had burnout conests on the clock, i got to go ...NUETRAL DROPPP!!!!!.... at like 4500 rpm both tires smoked, then stopped turnning...the engine didnt....then the statred spinnig again.. so if she decides to sneeze some bits out at the dyno ,it may be kinda fun

Yeah my car hasnt been running too hot, some days it runs like a champ and other days it doesn't. I am hoping after I molest it some more, it will chill out.
Buy a new TC and valve body for that biatch. I guess the ford racing valve body is the same as the lentech unit, just w/o the warranty.

i saw a couple of new in the box manuels on ebay last night but they are for the 04s so im not sure if they are for the duratec or not, they want 400.00 plus shipping, i have been looking around for a manuel at the wreckin yards . the man. has more potintial upgrades and is cheaper, the auto is good for alot of things like boost, no down time between shifts, i dont know, i have my eye on this 05 gto its blue wit da black intereor, 6speed and 12k on it for 19,000-22,000 i cant remember, i drove it, then needed a towel. my buddie has an 04 and an 05, the o4 runs 11s, and the o5 wit a 150 shot and thats it aint to far behinde.
