I think the smaller cars need a couple divisions, I know if I drove down from Duluth and got beat by a Pinto and a Taurus I'd be displeased.

I hear ya - we try to please everyone with the classes but somehow or another there's always one that just doesn't work out. This year it was the Compact/Midsize class.
It's a judgement call made at the gate by the owner and gate registration.
When I'm entering cars into the computer for registration, if there's a line of people, I half the time don't even read what the car is, just trying to get it entered quickly.
We'll have a survey going out in the next day or two and one of the things we always ask about it the classes and how they can be made better.
But as I always say, if we make a class, we gotta get the cars to justify it.

I wasn't complaining (since I didn't even show up), just a simple observation/suggestion for next time.

Just saying, I think you'd draw a bigger small car crowd if they knew they were going to be judged against cars they should be judged against.
I only brought mine down a couple times but I know I was discouraged by the way the cars were classed.

Yeah, and believe me Steve, all four of us focus owners at the show were all displeased. I mean it was bone stock too... and there was one in the same color sitting in the front of the dealership... To say the least it was kind of a slap in the face. Now that I'm done venting, I have to say, I still had one hell of a good time at the show and I also finally got to see an ST in person!

To be honest, this show has a MUCH better class for us than the Spring AVF "All Ford" show. Which should definitely be renamed "All Mustang" Show

I was kind of surprised the SHO was in the class it was and won.... Maybe everyone looked at my car and asked. Who brought the EVO? I did show up to the show late. At first I was not going to go but I went last min. I bet if I got there first thing and talked to more people maybe I might of had a better chance.
IT'S A FOCUS NOT AN FUCKING EVO!!!!
