So, I finally did it, bought a truck, its mine, paid for, and, no more asking to borow a truck!
Specs: 1992 f150 long box, topper, bed liner, 300-6, 5 spd, 4x4, alum wheels, aftermarket radio, 116k on the clock. Paid 2100$, he was asking 2500$ for it.
Everything works except for a power window switch, needs a t-stat housing gasket, tighten the valve cover(both seep some fluid).
Tires have good tread left, has the owners manual, alum wheels, and, 2 sets fo keys for the truck/topper.
All in all, its not bad!
The guy I bought it from took care of it, new clutch at 80k I think he said, oil changes every 1500 miles, in his garage, he had 2 fox fody stangs, one is a track only car, alky injected, 700hp, turns 9's religiously. The other was an 83 hatch street car, and, he also had a 67 coupe he was doing an efi converion on. He must have used the truck to haul his car, he said he raced at BIR, rock fall,s cedar rapids, grove creek and a handful of others.
The interior of the truck is a solid 9 out of 10 and he even incuded all season floor mats.
and if you ever need to do the shocks, (not springs), i'd be more than happy to help ya out, had to do the thermostat too not too long ago now that i think about it
