Ok, I've pulled my hair out trying to figure out the loss of power and the inability of the ATX to shift at WOT without back peddling on the gas. I've done everything from new ignition wires, plugs, pcv, fuel filter, pulled my hiflow cat thinking it might be plugged, and tracing down every vaccuum line and gasket for leaks. Even froze my ass of inspecting the 00 intake for cracks. Nothing. Nothing found, changes made had no effect.
So I'm thinking transmission. Valve body or TC... Finally I cave and head over to my dealer. I was hesitant b/c of the bolt ons and flash. But, I had had enough. The tech checked the trannyand tested the cat for blockage...nothing. So he placed a call to the Ford tech line. Ford says timing must have jumped...not enough power to shift at WOT. So I'm like WTF...how does that happen? Turns out to be a total mystery, but timing was off. So it was set, and a new belt, idler, and tensioner were added along with a new valve cover gasket. The tech also checked the valve lash, and it was in spec at 90K.
He asked me what had been done to the car...specifically about flash, as the EGR was turned off, and he coudn't pick up any trouble codes. I told him about my SCT dyno session, and about Jerry who did the tune. He was like cool. So now I'm thinking my warranty was out of business, but to my surprise, all work was billed to my ESP, and I paid a $50 deductible.
What a deal. Now she runs better than ever...I've got to get a header now.....or something...

02....I had cam gears installed and set to tdc then. Dyno'd that way 0/0.
power was fine. Something happened. I'm wonderring if (no cover on cam gears) ice caused the slip. It occured at start up, and it was a stretch of snowy weather at the time.......

tech also checked compression...it was fine also at 90k....nothing to do with the timing per say, but everything was checked for the then unaccounted for power loss.
