well we know northern metro.
2pm sounds like a good round number.
Northtown still sounds good. Kmart in Anoka could be, but the cops really suck about soliciting and just hanging out in lots up there. Plus I figure to get a decent sized lot, so we can call park close to each other for the good photo ops, and still leave room for other patrons.
or we could pick a county park by a lake/river. but many of the lots aren't substantially large.
another option is as mentioned: stillwater/taylors falls somewhere.

The Coon Rapids Dam Park is what I'm referring too.08SE wrote:Coon Rapids works. What part, up by Walmart/Best Buy or closer to like North Country Ford and Northtown?

Looks good. Lots of parking, somewhere cool looking.
So how does 2pm start of meet, hang out there for a while and take a quick ride to Northtown for a place to eat dinner/late lunch, and a possible drive after?

Keep in mind that the park requires permits for parking...$5.BlackSVTGuy wrote:The Coon Rapids Dam Park is what I'm referring too.08SE wrote:Coon Rapids works. What part, up by Walmart/Best Buy or closer to like North Country Ford and Northtown?
I know I can't be the only cheap bastard here...

really??? they want $5 to park there, hmmm... I'm a cheap ass too, so maybe we figure something else just in case. Granted $5 ain't a bank breaker, but its still $5 for a couple of hours maybe, at an outdoor lot, in the middle of nowhere kinda, not like downtown or anything.

Anoka right by the courthouse is free. Smaller though.
yeah isnt that lot right down by the river? or the one that they use for the sat night show? there used to be a spare lot next to AutoZone there, but I dont know if its still there.
I know of a free lot up in St. francis by the river, and some roads to kinda play on. just throwing out ideas.

I don't think I can make it, but why not find a place to grill some food! A lot cheaper that way, just someone bring charcoal and everyone bring their own meat (or non-meat).
Areas like Crooked Lake or I think Bunker hills has some places like that.

true, make it a bbq type thing. I'd be down for that.Miller wrote:I don't think I can make it, but why not find a place to grill some food! A lot cheaper that way, just someone bring charcoal and everyone bring their own meat (or non-meat).

You guys aware that you chose the same date as MNFORDS? Why don't you just intertwine them? They've been looking for more Foci anyways.
