WTB/Wtt: I want a focus hatchback, I have a 99 taurus wagon

Hello,

I am looking for a Ford Focus Hatchback. 3 or 5 door is fine. Must have black interior, and manual transmission. I would prefer under 100k miles, or service records for things like the timing belt. Color isnt too important, but I dont really want red or yellow.

I have a 1999 taurus wagon. It runs like a champ, but isnt too pretty. Its dark blue/purple in color. It has a red fender, cracked windshield, rust around rear wheel wells, and the wipers only work on high. It has 136k miles. Always starts up, fresh oil change. Recent transmisison filter replaced, tranny flush, coolant flush, heater core, and battery.

If your looking to get into a bigger car, I can easily trade cars (and add cash obviously), or I can just buy a car outright. I am looking to spend $5000 tops. Thanks.

am i completely off base here? I have been looking on CL, carsoup, cars.com, ebay, autotrader, and everywhere else i can think of and I cant seem to find what I am looking for. I never thought it would be this hard to spend money. Haha.

honestly no one with a focus is going to want to trade for your taurus for sure. so your better off just selling that.

as for focus's, theres a 5 door zx5 on cl. 2500 with side damage, rear bumper ect.

in sure if your mechanicly inclined at all you could slap a rear bumper on it and have a decent car. not sure if theres rear quarter damage or not tho

Im going to have to agree, no one is going to want to trade.

Just go to craigslist and type focus, and put in your price range, while at the same time posting your car for sale.

i wasnt really expecting anyone to want to trade. I have no problem just buying a car outright. I am being kinda picky on what I want. I do a lot of commuting so I want something with under 100k miles, and I work with cars quite a bit, so I want a black interior cause it hides the dirt and grease from my hands/clothes better. I have found a few that meet those criteria, but they are autos. Hopefully when the snow melts and the big car selling rush starts I will have better luck.

Tell you what if mine was older had more miles. I would think about it I could use a bigger car

But mine is an 07 with 50,000 so its worth a little money yet..

Im not in any huge hurry. I would like to get something by May. I just have money and its burning a hole in pocket. I spent months trying to decide what car i wanted, and now that i figured it out i am getting impatient.

I tried to look at that link, but I cant. I registered for the forum, so maybe I have to get unlocked my an admin first or something.
