you can use an xcal3 on any pcm code that is listed. It does not have a preloaded tune on it for a focus, if that is what your asking. You would still have to go get a dyno tune, like the big kids do.

I'm planning on having db performance to tune my svt focus, would buying this save me some money?

Pretty sure, without this, you cant tune your car. And xcal1 or xcal2 is better to tune a svt from what i have heard.

I know you need one, but I would just have DB buy me one and tune it.

DB charged me 400$ for it. thats where i had my csvt tuned. so you would be saving money.
and xcal3 can do anything a xcal1 or 2 can do, plus more. obviously.

yes dude, it will tune a focus. you will still need to get the dyno time though. this is just the software necessary to do any tuning. it is arguably the best form of ford tuning, as it is "plug and play" because you can tune anything you want without doing any difficult wiring or modifications to harnesses or tampering with the ecu.

I called Danny at DB, you can NOT tune a svt focus with an xcal3.

Yup I don't know much about tuning. That's why I called Danny, who told me not to buy it because xcal3's do not work with the SVTF. He said to buy an xcal2, something with the xcal3 isnt compatible with the SVT focus. If I'm an idiot, then the pro's at DB (where you got your car tuned) must be idiots too.

directly from SCT's site.
danny is not going to tell you to go somewhere else a buy a cheaper one. he wants you to pay full price to buy one from him.
now, you dont have to buy my xcal3. you can go pay 400 somewhere else. just stay off my thread saying shit that isnt true.

As far as I have heard, its just a longer, more tedious process with the xcal3. Thats why I stated its easier with a xcal or xcal2. I bet its still possible.
