Didn't know that. It looks funny when you're used to seeing them mounted the other way.
I think we can agree that a scope on an AK is about pointless though.

Depending on what you are using the AK for is weather the scope is pointless or not. They are fine with iron sights, but with a scope they are pretty darn accurate for a bunch of scrap metal and plywood. I am not a fan of AK's, but I shot one once that had a scope on it.
