It is correct that the paint code for the focus is in the door jam( drivers side),
but focoite is correct there is variations in the different colors. i have seen as many as 18 different shades of the same color (mostly in matalics and factory pearls). i would sugest going to a quality paint store and ask them if your car has this problem.
and please be honest with them ,
1. You would like to know more about there paint products, and why you want to know.
2.If there helpful buy the product from them.
I use ppg products ,they have a line of product called Omni not the top of the line but it still works great and is less exspensive.
good luck & happy painting

where can you get ppg paint... I went to an auto body place today and the guy flipped the f*ck out on me. He said that he would not sell auto paint to the public, and if a shop is then I should'nt trust it. what's wrong with selling paint to people... Sh!t

For the mirror question:
There are 3 clips behind the mirror you need to "un-hinge"" in order to "pop" off the mirror cap. You have to swivel the mirror to see them, and then unhinge them with a long screwdriver.
