As far as forums go, this reminds me of FF and 03OrangeSVT. That guy treats people like they are stupid, unnecessarily so and may as well be a Turbo Tom clone.
IMO, hanging on boards a lot is unhealthy. I've done my fair share. I can't wait to kick the can and put it behind me. Only problem is, I keep sponsoring Group Buys and selling off all the parts I collect(ed). lol

.You should see some of the PM's I've sent Tom and John (orange). I'm not easy on them and I like to voice my opinion when they unnecessarily single out people. I do the same thing at times, but I also try to make sure they understand why something is wrong or a bad idea, unless they've asked the same question multiple times.
My whole deal with FJ has been the same for many many years, they are more concerned with money than the community. Anything that makes a ripple is bad for business, you have to fit this mold or you're an outcast. FF seems a bit more lenient on that but it's still a .COM and a for profit forum. The one thing that always bugs me is why there aren't some type of monthly giveaways. Give something back to your loyal member base, make them happy to be there and try to further the pride in our cars.
I know what you mean about leaving and not looking back. Problem for me is I want to keep as many of these cars on the road running well as I can. I could care less what site I do it on, so long as it's done. I just enjoy helping the people, but not to make the site money.
Then again after 9 years you'd think about every situation would have been covered and a simple search would answer any question.
The learning process is what was fun for me. But now that I know quite a bit and am still hungry to learn I have to find some other auto related site to do it. Found a couple I troll, Yellow Bullet, Eng Tips and Go Fast News.
