Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

Hello everyone.

I heard Justin (I think thats trahma's name) say something about this site last monday(took me all damn week to find it, Focus is a horrible word to search on google).

I have also met Pappy (the man with 3 messed up names, lol), he seems pretty cool.

Anyways, I am driving a damn Escort ZX2, although I would prefer to have a nice Focus ZX3 (I have a thing for hatches). To make things worse, things haven't been going too well for me on the ZX2 boards I visit, so I've been turned off even more by the ZX2 (the community can suck, atleast the active people, the ocols ones don't post much).

I think in like an hour I'm gonna go look at a ZX3, but probably won't buy it. The main reason I didn't buy one before was they are a bit more expensive than the ZX2 was.

Just wanted to post a quick welcome. :D

Trust me, Buy the ZX3. You won't regret it.

Maybe not go with the Focus you were looking at, but maybe get one alittle cheaper. I'm glad I bought my Focus. One of the best things I did, even tho it does cost alot of money keeping. The car and I have been diagnosed with the modding bug... :P

Ya, the Escort ZX2 has a ZETEC engine also, one difference would be the VCT though

then you have the car itself, its riding on a chassis from the late 80's (90 production year) that was used in the 2nd gen escort and the first gen mazda protege and the mazda 323 hatches

due to the mazda chassis, it uses a mazda tranny that seems to have a weak final drive and maybe more

its not a bad car, I really just want a Focus instead. and with the focus having the same motor pretty much I could use the UDP that should have showed up this week

biggest drawback is that I have a rear disc swap sitting at home and lower tie bars that should have showed up too, guess if I get a Focus I get to try to sell them

I was thinking of trying to find a nice blue one to fit in ;)

anyways, if anyone finds a zx3 or even a zx5 really cheap pm me or something, I should be able to afford it since I was approved for a loan with 0 down on a brand new 05 Mazda 6, so you'd think a Focus would be no problem, right?
I was thinking I should buy a Malibu Blue Focus to be just like Justin and Nils, that and its one of the better colors

I see Foci for sale all the time. Check out carsoup.com or findcars.com
They usually have a few hatches on there. If your lucky, you'll find a SVT. But I rarely see any on either one of those.

6,000 should be pretty good then. my recently rolled 00 zx3 with 125,000 miles was totaled out for 5,800. so give or take it could be a good deal.
