oooo, i like thm wheels (the ones on the foci and those steelies). i suggest getting your grill ring to look rusted. then see how it looks w/o painting the lights. and i suggest getting another set of lights (sorry if that was the plan) and play with partial painting..

I know I saw another Focus with them. Damned if I can remember when/where though.

There is a greyish Focus with them too. A Kona maybe. I looked for about an hour and couldn't figure out where I seen them. Was thinking in O2's 4x108 thread on wheel whores, nope. I'll figure it out ... in about a year

Just an FYI, straight from Basset, their wheels are not hub centric. They are lug centric. I pm'd the owner of that yellow zx3 with the bassets, and he uses them for auto-x and said he never uses them on the highway. While not totally impossible to get a lug centric wheel to center on the hub correctly, it is a task. People do do it.

I am under the understanding there are no hub centric rings you can buy to work with these wheels either. So the hub bore must be quite large.

i thought the foci was lug centric? isn't that the reason for the tapered nuts?

No, haven't you noticed how tightly the wheels fit to the hubs in these cars?

The stock hub bore is 63.3mm. All oem Focus wheels fit this hub perfectly without the need of hub centric rings. Aftermarket wheel hub bores vary in size. The rings are used to fill the gap between the hub and the wheel opening when the opening (wheel hub bore) is too large. Many aftermarket wheel manufacturers use a 73.3 mm hub bore for their wheels as it is cost effective to have a single, large enough bore to cover the street wheel market. Then they only need to drill the lug patterns on the blanks.

those are tight but i wonder how tiny the 15" wheels would look on a car that originally came with 16"'s. keep in mind this is a much bigger car than your focus's. i think i might be stuck with a lame wheel, just to keep the size up. i was really hoping for 18's but i know that's not gonna happen in a steelie

it's not the size that matters. and i think you could get those in a bigger size

Ever look into getting a set of steelies redrilled? I know acouple places to get 17" and 18" steelies if your interested. But IMO they would need to be widend.
