Way, way to many fumbles and Farve for all he was worth mentally fucked up and killed'em. They beat themselves and got the L. Terrible game.

I'm glad I don't follow football....I'd probably jump off a bridge or something.

They really gave the game away. For what it's worth, Farve needs to retire. He made his typical Farve mental screw up in the big game. All that greatness tossed down the drain. I know people will say he was great all season and the vikes would not have been there without him. True. But the last guy you'd ever expect to blow the game is the most experienced qb in the league. All he had to do was slide and give his team a shot. Nobody for 20 yards around him...yeah he's human and he played great and all that, but it is inexcusable to screw up such an easy play. This guy's history repeats too often. Time to move on.

Yes Favre did choke but it was just more salt on the open wounds as the refs began to hand the Saints the game in OT.

Chalon!! WTF!! I figure you'd be wearing your paper bag proudly, this is disappointing to me.
The ref's tried to give this game away early with mystery out of bounds hit and the no call on the roughing the passer. The the ref didn't call a TD when the runner was about a yard deep in the end zone before his knees hit. Sounds shady to me.
1 last thing, GO COWBOYS!!!!! The new season will be upon us soon.
And to those butt hurt Vikings fans, Herschel Walker bitches!!!

A co-worker of mine who cheers GB said the same thing^^^now you all know what we have been dealing with for YEARS in greenbay... favre chokes under pressure, forces things and causes turn overs... im glad MN now realizes what we have all known for years in GB...
I'll give you that. And i'm no ardent defender of Da Vikes, and, yah, his last INT killed us (supposing Longwell makes the 50yd kick) BUT...
who could deny that he is one tough SOB for all the times he had to peel himself off the turf... He kept getting up AGAIN
Yah, I'll watch 'em next year...
by then, maybe AP will learn how to hang on to the ball, too.
My car isn't fast... but don't tell it that, cuz it wants to be

Uh, you all cried when he was pushed out by the GB front office. Now you're going to toss in this "we knew for all those years" garbage. Giving a shot at having your cake and eating it too maybe? Bret may have made his crowning mistake in the big game against the Saints, but he made damn sure he beat GB this year. This make you a little sour, no?

My sentiments exactly, he was a god in Wisconsin and would have been for eternity if he hadn't joined the Vikings.HotRodWagon wrote:

I pretty much gave up on football years ago but I watched a few games this year including the loss to the Saints.
To blame Favre for that loss is just wrong, the man stood in the pocket and got drilled repeatedly in his attempt to win and honestly if it weren't for the fumbles by Peterson they more than likely would have won the game.
Exactly what did Favre do wrong other than throwing two interceptions?
Show me one other quarterback playing today that would have taken the abuse he did and have the courage and ability to continue, I gained a HUGE measure of respect for Favre after that Saints game. They may have lost the game but Favre is an amazing player.
Pretty much the entire Vikings team played their hearts out and Peterson picks the championship game to get back to his old fumbling ball dropping ways.
They should never have been in a position to go into overtime at the end of the game, if Peterson could have held on to the ball they would have had at least another three points on the board at that point but his fumble at the Saints ten blew that one.
Questionable coaching choices (continuing to play A.P. when Taylor was moving the ball and not dropping it) and A.P. lost that game. Not Favre.

I wouldnt lump everyone in that group..... personally since ive moved to WI i wasnt into football, when i started getting into it i disliked favre, since we have had Rodgers sitting around learning ive always said he was the better QB for the team over favre. Honestly glad he did good this year for another team, just glad it wasnt with us he played...
Sucks he beat us? meh... favre is just 1 man, the Vikings beat us, just Brett, hes 1 man, a team beat us so i dont really care about that...
ive never liked favre, and i wont, i dont care if he plays here or mars, i dislike him and ive taken heat from people in WI for openly saying that...
