hey whats up, if you wanna start modding, i say save the money on the cheap bolt ons, and snag a set of cams as your first invesment, because every enhancement you buy from there on will improve off of your cams

First off welcome to the club! Glad you found us.

The first thing I ask anyone is what they want from their car. Do you want a car that will spank a corvette? Do you want a car that's going to turn heads? Since you're on a low budget, I'd suggest deciding what you want, then making a list and working towards that. It'll take a few years but it's well worth it. Most of us here with the more modified cars have put 3+ years into ours to get where they're at and we're still not done.
reconstruction.

LOL, I've only had mine for alittle over a year, and I'm already as far in as I am...LOL
But yeah, don't just start buying parts. Vision what you want out of the car. Then work from there. I started out with my stereo from my other car. I got that in. Then I ordered a K&N filter, new shift knob. Then a set of rims. Then some tint. Lowered it. Body kit. Small stuff here and there, and its already to almost where I wanted it. Now I'm getting into the more serious engine stuff like my supercharger, and cams will be coming soon as well.

Hey wassup 2. You're probably the only other 17 yr old member on this forum besides me. Yeah I know what you mean by working with a small budget, that's all me right there. Hope to see you at one of the meets.

persojnally im not lookin to puttin to much on the outside, sure maybe a nice set of rims, head and taillights, some tints tryin to keep it simple, but my goal is to reallyjust burn motherf*ckers on the street, to try and pack the most horsepower know what i mean?
im not too familiar wit the engine in the focus since all i ever hear about is people talk about what to do in their civic engines...
but thanks everyone for the greetings :)
hope to build and meet u guys sometime

Since you're on a budget in that case I'd do a cheap ebay short ram intake, tsudo exhaust, obx header, and go straight to nitrous. For the money, you'll be pretty much where Pappy is which is pretty respectable. Likely you won't have the money for turbo or a supercharger and in that case dollar for dollar nitrous is the best upgrade.

Although I'd keep the stock tail lights. The altezza style tails look like ass on the black hatches.

Yea just do some bolt ons, and add some spray. It'll be pretty decent. You'll eventually burn your stock clutch out quite a bit faster though.
