Now the bad news... my 07 looks a hell of alot worse
lets see, just from looking in the dark. hood, fender, windshield, mirror, both driverside doors, rear quarter. Not to mention glass all over from the windshield imploding into a million miniature missiles throughout the car. This is one time I;m glad I wear glasses since mine now have glass embedded in to them.
I never saw the deer until the very last second and got one word out before the winshield exploded, literally and loudly. An oncoming pickup and I were passing, he must have barely missed him. As I got just where I could see past his back bumper it was already to late. During the impact and glass shower I pretty much lost it, but regained and slid slightly into the ditch.
A suburban behind stopped to help and also ended up down due to running over something from my car and blowing a tire. Then it was the sherrif and his report before the towtruck was called.

A friend who's a bodyman looked at the pics and said he'd say well over 5000 if not totalled

I'll try and get more pics later. Alls I can say is it's deer season and I have 4 tags to fill, no mercy anymore

holy shit that's bad. i'd say worse then any of my many deer hits. go vacuum it out and wash it up or the insurance co will take off $600 of the value. wish i could help with parts to save yoou money, but i got none of that. but you could look into a CF hood. mine was 506 and lox said he paid 497 i think for his. the quote i got for a new hood and paint was 503 on the silver one

won't know till monday or tuesday when an adjuster looks at it.
The way it looks tho it may have frame damage up front. The fender was shoved in to the point it bent the side of the hood and the rear door is pushed into the framework and cant be opened, not to mention the rear quarter got tweeked. that and theres glass in every inch of the interior.
We'll just have to see I guess :(

What! No one asked for a permit to take that tasty tasty deer home?!?!?! The cop would have given you one and you could be eating that SOB!!! Sorry to see the damage to your car.

the deer wasnt worth taking home. his belly was bulged which ment his internals were mush, the whole hind end was shattered , antler broken off in the skull, and when the crash bar in the car door punched through it ripped a big hunk out of the side thats not showing. I wasn't gonna waste the time on a bloody, stinky mess I may only have been able to salvage the backstraps out of.
Good news is I may be able to get sdgfp to pay my deductible since the deer are "THEIRS". gonna try like hell anyways...

you wouldn't believe the leaches crawling out of the woodwork on other sites already wanting to buy things off it... the adjuster hasn't even looked at it yet, much less totalled it... :?

by the way, I'm seriously thinking of selling the svt if a good price pops up. Just not really into modding anymore and could really use the money elsewhere since I don't know if I'll have a job after the first of the year...

Any time you post wreck pics people will start begging parts right away, it's the nature of the internet.

That said, you should keep as much as you can or buy it back if it's cheap enough because a LOT of people want that body kit/spoiler and your's looks to be untouched and the wheels and tires look great as well.

already pretty much decided if its totalled I'm buying it back. I ws smart enough to put gap insurance on it so the whole loan will be taken care of. then it would be completely parted. It's only got 37000 on it and nothing but the body was damaged and maybe the frame.
the wheels would come off either way and the stockers put on since I just put them on at around 700 bucks.
Most of the body kit was spoken for last summer if it ever got wrecked.
