It's been a while since I shopped video cards, how does the HIS compare to a Geforce 9600 GT?

I might be interested if the HIS is a significant upgrade.

They're similar cards, it wouldn't be significant upgrade. My HD4670, since it's overclocked, will perform ~10% better in most games. It really depends on what games you're playing and at what resolutions. It may be worthwhile if you could turn around and sell your card to recoup most of the money.

Sounds like I'll just leave it then, it works well for what I do with it.

I don't do a lot of gaming anymore but if I can ever pick up Call of Duty World at war for a decent price I'll be putting my card through it's paces.

Got a copy of WaW you want to sell?

I really prefer the WW2 stuff to the modern stuff but I'll get those eventually as well. I just can't bring myself to pay $50.00 for a game. :?

The only problem with WaW is that there are very few active servers. I just tried playing it the other night and there were 6 YES SIX servers that had people playing on them. and a 9600GT will run WaW full settings no prob. It will get hot but it'll run it.

WaW had a decent single player side didn't it?

I've yet to find better multiplayer than CoD United offensive although I don't play much anymore.

I didn't care for the single player campaign, but the multi-player campaign was ok. Online multi-player sucked. I played on Xbox 360, so MP may be better on PC with more players per map. The biggest problem I found was the maps were too large and disconnected.
