Possible Injector Problem, need insight

I have a 2000 turbocharged ZX3 (Y2K's old ride) with about 45k miles on it and it died as I was coming up to a stop sign earlier today. I have had issues with the engine flooding before, so I disconnected the power to the injectors and cranked until it was running. The car then proceeded to run(like shit) with no injectors connected until I shut it off about 5 minutes later. My initial thought was that I might have one or more leaking injectors. After I reconnected the injectors the car would not start, which would make sense if too much fuel was being dumped in to one or more of the chambers. I got the car home and parked by driving 2 miles with no power to the injectors. I gave it and myself some time to cool down and got it started later in the day with the injectors connected but it sounds similar to a car that is running on 3 cylinders and im not able to get any more than 4k revs out of it at WOT.
If anybody has any experience with this type of issue, I would greatly appreciate some advice. Also, what is the easiest way to test my injectors to see which needs to be replaced if that is in fact the issue?
Thanks.

PS. Iraq CENTCOM called again and wants their soldier back, so if anybody wants to buy this car for parts or driving before i leave, i'm willing to sell for cheap.

Well running for 5 minutes with no fuel is a bad sign. Good sign that an injector is hung open, actually all 4 must be to go for 5 minutes.
Ohm them out. As the pintle moves off the seat it changes in resistance. If the base Ohm is in spec move on to the next one. If they are Ford Racing injectors you can find specs below:

Fuel rail pressure sensor? I'm assuming it still has one?

BTW-How much for the car if you're actually thinking of selling?

I took the fuel pressure gauge out after the breakin damage, good idea though, the connections are still good so I will try to hook it up for some testing.
It is still running the 5th injector setup, I tried switching that whole mess around for no definitive results. However, if that were the leaking injector, could it supply enough fuel at the throttle body for the engine to run while all 4 of the originals were disconnected?
Ill just say $2000 for the car as it sits now, willing to negotiate.

I'm tempted to buy it just to strip it of the turbo goodness (for my car) and part it out. :D

Not sure if you understood my post, there is a fuel rail pressure sensor on the end of the stock fuel rail.

Those have been a major problem in Mustangs and when they fail it floods the engine, the Focus uses the same FRPS as the Stang.

I assume fuel pressure is controlled by the ECU then?

feul press is controlled by the pump, injectors, and tps. the fuel pump in a returnless set up acts like a stepper moter, as pressure is used the pump adds more. the injector is modulated by the PCM as it veries the duty cycle of the in jectors and the the puls width. so what steve was saying is the fuel presure sensore( to let the pcm know what to tel the pump to do) could be bad. and to answer a earlier ?, yes the 5th injector will make it run at idle and thats it, if you drove it like this it was not flooding, it was running lean and now your car is worth 10 bucks. :?
