oops

so i ordered this shfiter off ebay, it said 02 focus shifter, now, when did they switch to the 03 shifter exactly, because there was a major difference of i am correct?

anyways, i had broke mine as some of you know, so i needed a quick fix asap, i purchased the shifter and base. it gets here and when i go to install it...OOPS!

the stock shifter has a pivot point in the middle of the shifter, and the spot where the cable attaches is below said pivot point. so when i move the shifter into first it operates as it should.

this shifter has the linkage connected above the pivot point, which means, when i push the shifter forward, say, to go into 1st, the cable goes forward...putting me into second......

so basically
stock is like this, the new one is like this
135 24R
24R 135

If you want to wait a little while I'm gonna be ordring a new shifter so you could have my steeda tri ax I've got an o1 zx3 if that works

the thing is i need the base, thats the part i originally broke, i'd lik to check it out tho.

the base isn't different, the difference is the shifter and cable.

haha, yea i remember the shifting thingy u got at the meet... that was pretty cool IMO.... pretty rare and unique...
