How much of a drop can I get and still play it safe? .5? 1.0? And what are the best brand to get (for handling) and the best place to order from? :?

You should post pics of the car so people have an idea of what your setup looks like.

FRPP has a 1.5 inch drop that works really well with 17's.

As for tires, I'd suggest researching them on the Tire Rack website, lot's of good info there.

Thanks for posting the picture for me, Kyle. So, I am thinking either Steeda springs at 1.5" or SVT spring set at 0.5 - 1.0". I am worried if I go with the steeda springs, 1.5 will be too low for the 18's. Will one or the other improve my handling around the corners better? IS it okay to get just springs and not mess with sway bar options?

So Steeda vs. SVT Kit for now.....

Eibach's would prob. be too low.

I'm not sure if the SVT springs fit in the 05+

Here are the FRPP springs for the 05+ and your struts will work with this suspension

Crap I don't reameber if the 05 suspension is the same as the 06 or not.

Thanks patalrob, but those are only for 2006 - 2009 focus's.

The SVT suspension kit would fit my 2005 ST, and the Steeda would fit. Still not decided though. Want to decide and order within couple of days.

Maybe. I think they changed the Knuckle in mid 2005.
