i read this artical. the foci had a 5 liter dohc v8 with a 6 speed. the motor made 400-500 horse and about 350-400 lbs/ft. granted its no longer a focis it is more closer to a warp drive unit.the lambo got smocked in every asspect of the comp ,turning, stoping,acel. they were saying if the foci didnt have the mich pilot sport cup treads on it it ma have been a difernt story

Don't tell me I bought into a car so I could be classed as the "honda civic" type that thinks thier car can kill high performance machines....I wouldn't even pull up next to a lambo in my friend's stang

it is no longer a focis.. it is a v8 rear drive ,, it coast like a hundred grand to make the car it is a koughgl converstion car ,with a dohc 5.0. the car can go straight down the rouad to about 100mph and then with a down shift go drift crazy it is not i repeat it is not a focis any more..... its much more specailerest

it was the ford racing rs8. So it was about $160,000 focus and I think it was racig the gillardo or how ever you spell it. I think it was in a car and driver magazine.

You have vids of this focus? I would be interested in pics. I can't belive someone would stick the cammer in a focus. I personally would have gone with a built 393w stroker, capable of making a nice 600+ NA hp/tq

just to let u know. that car dosent cost 160xxx. im in the works of building one right now. the kugel v8 kits are like all said and done around 5000. thats without engine and tranny and rear axle. I know about the lambo though, the car does out run it in the quarter mile. thats bad Ass. Just wait till spring and ull see what iut can do. and u dont need a stroker. A SVT Cobra motor with a kenny Bell Blowzilla kit with a few Xtras will put out 620 at the wheels.

Until that blowzilla seaizes on you.

Don't forget to add in the initial cost fo said cobra motor+engine managment. It is not going to be cheap no matter how you slice it, a 393-418 stroker will offer more bang for the buck then a 03/04 cobra motor. For a guestimate on price, a guy about a year ago in the tbird community bought up a lightning motor/trans to the tune of 9500$ with the computer and wiring.

the zx351 car was for sale, but, I think it has been sold, the buy it now price on ebay was 22500$. Would have been worth every penny.

Oh yeah, a mod motor is wider then a windsor block due to the dohc assembly, may not fit between the fenders. You will also need the trans from the cobra.

well right now i do have a full cobra swap. egine,tranny,ecu, and wireing harness. I also just picked up a 99 lincon mark 8 motor that is pretty close to the smae thing just not supercharged. that engine does fit and fit well. its the same thing they have in the RS8 but theres isnt boosted.
