I went to start my truck this morning, and I thought I broke the ign cyl, but after tearing into the coloum a bit I found the real problem. This is not a photo of my trucks problem itself, but exactly the same, I found on a different forum. That square pin that broke off, is for the shifter, and I cant get it out of park with it broken like that... heh... but I figure that if I can get the pin out, I can atleast drive it until, I can get the actuator replaced. Again I say mine is similar, the square pin on mine, is jammed in, and even with the part its slid into. There's no room for a drill, and it is aluminum.
Anyone have any ideas?

You're not referring to that silver linkage are you? That's what always broke on my old F150, I think we went through 3 of those cheesy things. Mine was a manual trans though, so I have no idea on the park issues.

I don't remember it being all that difficult, but don't remember what was involved either. Sorry I guess I am not much help  I think we were able to purchase it from the HELP specific part section at an auto parts store, but it was a long time ago and I'm not sure they would still stock something for an older truck like that.

Not a problem, I was in a hurry anyways, in the middle of work, and wanted to get there before you guys closed. Plus, I had to get back to work, lol.
Lock the doors, and lets go buy parts! lol.
