Is this just an idea to discuss, or are you actually thinking of a 9inch wide wheel?
A 9inch wide wheel is pretty pointless. I can only think of about 5 Focus' in all that would need that wide of a tire/wheel.
You can fit 12" wide wheel, it all depends on how much you want to cut off your arches and extend them. Maybe alittle more info will help.

im looking at getting some steel wheels made, im updating the look of the foci. i was looking at 225/45/17s but they are kinda tall. i was also thinking of a 16 inch setup but tire sizes for what i want i can only find in r componds and i dont need a racing tire.i want to stay with a 41-44 mill spacing and yes o2 im planning on a weeeee bit of euro-pean tire fittment. like i said before in a previous post, the cars paid off and im going more radical. the plan is in the next 2-3 years to have the car redone. its going a half inch lower, its getting an areo kit, also f2 rs style duck tail, and possibly a rossvt flame/tribal/or camo stripes plus im rolling a satin black body idea around in ma head. the interior is currently being gutted(the 5th time) and diamond plate aluminuinmnmnmn-menim will replace most if not all the inner pannals im tossing the current stereo in favor of panal mounted 8s and tens, need to make room for some bracing. also in the mix is a power adder, as before i also stated i have all but the boost maker to put boost in, just figuring if i want to go turbo or centrifical super charger. a lsd has been sourced, as well as a clutch and fly wheel. most of the mechanicals are going in this winter after the big tax return, and the cosmetic stuff will follow. but as with all good suites a good ...nay steller set of shoes make it pop.

For one, if your planning a 41-44et offset, thats not going to look right. In order to pull of a euro setup, you'll need some more (less)offset. And then for steelies you need stretch. Lots of stretch. So start looking at 205/45 size tires. Stay away from 225, once you go to a 205, more tires will be available. And if doing a stretch setup, a racing Azeni or similar autoX type tire ain't bad. They'll have a stiffer sidewall, so the handling won't be comprimised too much with a stretch tire.
And if your looking for a F2 spoiler, I'll sell you mine.

ive setteled for a normal look. the steelies is a hassle. i think im gonna forego the wheels all togethr and dump all my money into mechanicals such as tubular control arms, brakes, engine, and trans. this way i dont have to go all out and worry about the outer shell getting all(more) door dinged and chiped. i may go with a 16 inch rim(new stockers) whitch the bat inc brake kit will clear. i dont know, i mean after all this its still gonna be slow, its still gonna be daily driveable( bearly) i know it wont be child seat friendly. so i dont know. i really want a mustang or a ranger but i already have this car and its a good platform to start throwing boost at. the next few months will fall into place and we'll see what happens.
