Speaking of winter tires, I found some winter tires for my MOTORCYCLE. But yes Blizzaks are the best you can get.

Snow in Rochester today...
I've used Blizzaks in the past, but was'nt impressed. So I'm just using all seasons. Unless you put on the Blizzaks everytime it snows, you burn up the tires driving the other 6 days of the week on the roads.
But they are not bad tires, if you find a good deal on them.

I like the snow tires on the Cougar
I have blizzaks (ws50's maybe?). I put them on in late fall and leave them on til spring.

I used to have Blizzak WS-50s on the XR every year. They'd last 2-3 seasons if I left them on all winter. The last time around I went with some Kumhos because the Blizzaks went up $30 each from what I'd paid before. The Blizzaks were a lot better. I've actually heard Nokian Haakapelitas are the ones to have and I've also heard good things about Dunlop Graspics.

I noticed your tires immediately. Those kooks looked ready for anything.iminhell wrote:Blizzak's suck compared to the Hankook's.
I had the Blizzaks to begin with, 2 winters, and now have the Hankooks, 1 winter so far. Best tire by far.

You guys are crazy. I've driven through snow up to the bumpers with no problem with snows on. I've stalled my car in 2-3" of snow with those tires, didn't know that was even possible

Up to the bumper eh, beginner

My Blizzaks got me stuck
Biggest difference I noticed was control. The sidewalls on the Hankooks are stiffer and you can still corner pretty good on them. I actually lost control a few times with the Blizzaks. They just aren't as predictable as the Hankooks. To each his own though. It's one of those things you have to try to see.
btw do not attempt that with the factory lower radiator support. The radiator will dislodge and you will be fixing it on the side of the road, I should know. Had to fix mine more than a few times. Now I have a square tubing support with 2" exhaust tubing to hold the bottom gromets in place, beefy.
