The word domestic comes from the brand the car is sold under. ford is brand that was started in the u.s. everything on the road today take styling from world wide. so many companies sell in foreign markets. so the focus is still a domestic.

and to stir the pot farther... a mustang with a good driver can out handle any thing else with a poor driver. same can be said about any car. dont poke at something you dont drive for how it handles. you have no idea. just as people should poke fun at your car for what it is because they dont know how well it was built. \rant.
