My best deer story, on the way to Rapid City South Dakota on I 90 dead North of Sioux Falls at 1:00 in the morning and suffering badly from white line fever when my buddy yells Deer!! The only thing I could do, the only time I had was to brace for impact and blurt out a blood curdling AHHH! At 70 miles an hour we were lucky that the doe hit us (or should I say hit her) low and didn't come up over the hood. Trashed the front end, punctured the air conditioning condensing coil a nice dent in the passenger fender where her head swung around the front of my Explorer and whacked it luckily though it was still drivable. I've got a 17 foot canoe tied to the top of my Explorer pulling a trailer full of stuff for a dog hunt test including 12 crates full of live stinky ducks. The worst part was the whole week and a half was that the weather was the hottest of the summer, this was mid August, and no air conditioning. I don't care how fast we were driving or how many windows we had open it was hot!

Looking to homebrew Supercharge my car, me and Corky Bell.
Talked with Al F. on Sat. Sounds like he can help. Will know more Tuesday. Body shop estimate for insurance will be this week, so we'll weigh that vs. getting parts on our own.

I've got a Rapid City deer story. Just yesterday we were driving out to eat buffalo wings, and saw a deer wander into the road. My friend stopped, and we watched the deer go across the median, stand there, and then just when an SUV was coming, tried to dart across the road. It jumped and hit the top side corner of the SUV, did a 540, and skidded across the highway for a few feet. Then it got up and ran away
