I have to agree with you all, even though it would be the costlier route.

I don't think I've seen his. Any pics on here of it? What about color? Paint or leave it?Pappy wrote:I think if you go this route you should just buy the style hood you want. if you get a different hood (CF), you wont have the Saleen scoop. Find a hood on craigslist and I can fab it up for ya
we could also add to the bottom of the hood to direct air towards the turbo or turbo's

Either or. I think it would look great all CF and I'm sure it would look great painted too.ch435 wrote:I don't think I've seen his. Any pics on here of it? What about color? You can PM him about price and where he got it from. It's a VERY nice quality hood.

A little late to the party but yeah functional hood scoop, and leave that Saleen hood alone. I share the anal retentive attitudes about messing with specialty cars fudging them up. I even cringe a bit when I hear about an SVT getting a permanent change. To me anything that has potential collector/enthusiast value should be either left alone or if modded, modded so that it can be reverted back to its stock condition.

^^That seems to be the consensus, and that is pretty much how I felt. So far, all my mods can be undone, and I have kept all my stock parts. Now I have to decide between a cf, a new oem, or go to the junkyard and get one.
Let's go boating.

junkyard's probably your best bet...since you'd be doing paint prep anyway due to the metalwork, the new primered hood doesn't make very much sense
