Went for a spin in rsheaks Powerworks SVT

Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

Oh my, That thing flies. it doesn't have quite the shriek of a JRSC but man does it work.

So far I've ridden in a JRSC/BBK SVT, drove Zurno's turbo and Pappys JRSC/BBK Zetec.

Now I've been in a Powerworks SVT, I hate you all :?

Now I just need a ride in Pitchblacks turbo monster and CH435's turbo Duratec.

Apparently some kid rolled up on rsheak with a new civic si and thought he was fast, he found out rather quickly how wrong he was

Well I know he'll obviously be quicker in a full run than my car, but how much faster do they really feel?

I've never been in a PW'd car. Only Turboed, JRSC'd, and FS SC'd

Tough question, they're all quite different.

I do know the Powerworks kit on an SVT is supposed to be god for about 250 whp as is

Lets just say it pulls hard.

By "shriek" he means that good ole whining sound :)....yeah they rate it @ 250whp with no mods... I have the CFM ORP, custom borla exhaust with no mid muffler so there's very little restriction, and a CFM Adj. Cam gear....I'm getting it tuned this Monday....I'll keep you guys posted....I'm hoping for around 260-265whp......

Steve, you forgot o2's FS supercharged ride and Justin's car if you haven't ridden in that yet, and if it ever goes down the road again.

I didn't forget, I didn't mention those because Justins is in perpetual hibernation and O2's has a throttle stop so it won't go past half throttle (at least thats what Pappy says ;) )

I'd love to go for a spin in Chromie to see what it does or Justins (as long as the blue bottle is working).

Get it right, "whine" is the noise you were making when you asked the wife if you could "buy" the Powerworks. ;)

"Shriek" or "Scream" would be the way to describe the beautiful sound the supercharger makes. :)

BTW-Post the freaking engine bay pics!!! Holy nice engine bay!!!

There is no governor on the car...For one, the car gets way to loud over 65%throttle that its annoying and a cop magnet. The other, I've never had a reason to go faster then 90...

But its getting a new exhaust, and more engine goods. So it should be all taken care of this summer...

I know, It's just so much fun teasing you about it.

I've only had my SVT over 100 3 or 4 times, I'm too nervous about losing my license. I usually run it up through third and let off, thats 90.

Ryans SVT is plenty loud with the ORP and one muffler Borla, trust me.

^^ditto. Although, going from 4th to 5th at redline, you find out very quickly how strong air resistance is...
