Non Focus discussion. Pretty much other cars and off topic stuff.

The 01 needs new shocks and struts after 160K.
So the 05 got the new stuff!

I had some SVT springs, so I got new dampers from Steve and put them in last Saturday. Didn't even bother with the lower control arm bolt. Gave it a half hearted try with a breaker bar just to see if it would come loose, but it didn't budge. Soon as I got smarter than the borrowed internal spring compressor, the install went great.

Soooo, the 30K ST suspension will go into the 04 ZTS. The 30K ZTS suspension will then go into the ZX3.

Just riding down the road, the ST rides a little firmer now. It already had the SVT dampers so it's not a drastic change. The cornering ability has really improved. Can't wait to put on summer tires!

The springs dropped it 1 1/8" on all corners....was pleasantly surprised at that! Was expecting 1/2" and hoping for 3/4".

Can't wait to drive the ZX3 with some halfway new suspension in it. That thing is such a PILE! haha I hadn't driven for close to a year. When the snows were put on, that's when I drove it. Like I said...it was a PILE!

Here's a pic of the new drop. It always snows when I take a pic of the car...so the white is not spots on the car!

Congrats... I'm going to be doing a similar hand-me-down swap on my Contour and Cougar here next week where the Contour gets new Koni struts and B&G springs and the Cougar gets the 50k mile SVT stuff.
