I have finally made it back from Iraq and I am starting to look around for places for my powerworks supercharger to get installed. I am sure that I will have lots of questions about the supercharger in the next few weeks to come, so if anyone could help with a few tid-bits of wisdom that would be great.
Ok...question time:
1) DB performance...good shop, bad shop, anyone know of them?
2)gauges...what is a must, and what is recomended?
3) Dyno tuning... how soon after I am running the SC should I tune it?
I have way more questions than that...but that is good for now.

DB from my stand point, is a good shop.
If you had them install it, I'm sure at the same time, they might as well tune it for you on the dyno...
For gauges, for starters, I'd prob suggest a air/fuel, oil pressure, and boost...

I think the best place to install it would be in the engine bay of my SVT
But other than that,DB is probably a good choice.

how about your car hold at home with your own hands, saves like 800 bucks labor, then take it to db for tuning.Sublimetime86 wrote:I have finally made it back from Iraq and I am starting to look around for places for my powerworks supercharger to get installed. I agree with everything completely. They would do a TOP notch job on the install, and Dan is THE best ford tuner in MN. He'll be doing my tune next spring (to replace my mail order tune...).o2designs wrote:DB from my stand point, is a good shop.

I'd have them tune it the same time as they install.
Also, I think those are good guage suggestions, but don't bother with an air/fuel guage, unless it is a TRUE wideband guage. Otherwise a EGT may be a better option.

Yeah, if its getting tyned right out of the box, you pretty much don't need the air/fuel. They will tune it for the correct a/f.

thanks for the input everyone. I e-mailed DB yesterday and hopefully I will have them installing the SC soon. I did think of installing the SC myself...but I have seen alot of horror stories unfold due to an install gone wrong.
Steve do you have prices on the 2 gauge pod, boost gauge, and oil pressure gauge?
Damn I can't wait

Yes, but I don't think the mnfocus Boost Crew installed those blowers...alot of F/I has been installed in garages at home on this site, and not a problem with any of them.

I have a 2 gauge minipod in stock $19.80, It's the short pod, the short and long are both discontinued but we got this one from another dealer so it's probably the last one I'll ever see.Sublimetime86 wrote:thanks for the input everyone.
